Susan has held Mama Hen and her babies in her private collection since 1988. I have asked Susan several times if we could print Giclee’s of her.
She has always said, “Lila, that’s my Mom and us kids, it is personal
to me.”
When Susan was asked to help with the fund raising for the new Children’s Hospital being built here in Northwest Arkansas, Susan’s compassion for children in need came to the forefront. She graciously gave the original drawing of Mama Hen and her babies to the Color of Blue Gala Event’s live auction. The winning bid of $35,000 brought people to their feet. Susan is thrilled the sale of this original drawing will help so many children in need.
Since so many people requested prints of Mama Hen at the Gala, Susan has decided to release this limited edition Giclee.
